Bob’s Bio

ROBERT CINDRIC has been teaching vocal music since 1979 and has taught in the Saline Area Schools since 2000 where he has taught the Middle School Choirs and K-4 General Music. Prior to coming to Saline, he taught in the Milan Schools for 21 years as high school and middle school choir director, 7th grade head football coach, and coordinator of computer technology and implementation for the district. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Bob has BAs in music education and psychology with a minor in physical education and an MA in music education with choral conducting emphasis.

Bob has been the music director at The First Presbyterian Church of Saline since 1978.  In 2016, he was called to be Mission Elder on the church’s Session.  After hearing a presentation about Care Village from one of its founders, André Brandmuller, Bob decided that he needed to go there.  After witnessing the need to have a school on site at Care Village, several members of the mission team from First Presbyterian decided to try and help.  Care Village Outreach was formed to enable this group of volunteers to make a difference in the lives of the children at Care Village and other parts of South Africa.  The rest is history, some of which is yet to be written.
