Laura’s Bio

Laura Wilczynski has been teaching elementary physical education for the past 25 years in the Saline Area School District.  She holds a bachelor of science degree in Phys. Ed. (K-12) and an English minor from Central Michigan University.  A Masters degree from Eastern Michigan University and has 35 plus post graduate credits.

Laura coached middle school volleyball for 5 years and stopped when she decided to start a family.  Laura is married to her husband John of 20 years and they have two daughters, Brooke and Emily.  Brooke is a senior at Saline high school and Emily is a freshman.  Brooke will attend college in the fall and will study elementary education.  Emily is actively involved in sports and has been a member of the volleyball team, basketball team and will run track in the spring.

Laura and Brooke joined the first Presbyterian church group in Saline that attended the mission trip to South Africa in August of 2017.  A trip of a lifetime where many friendships and lasting memories were made.  Laura is looking forward to seeing the progress and growth of Care Village and what the future holds with all of the love, support and outreach of so many kindhearted people.
